IP / VoIP / IoT Gateway – LiftGate
The 2N LiftGate IoT gateway will transform a regular elevator into a modern IP solution for the 21st century. Plus, you needn’t worry if there’s a UTP cable in the elevator. IP connectivity in the elevator is secured using 2 wires in the travelling cable. 2N LiftGate combines the functions of an LTE router, a backup power supply, a converter (2-wire to IP) and a switch all in one unit. Install just 1 product instead of 4 and save time and money. Importantly one LiftGate can be connected and supports two lifts. LiftGate has multiple LAN ports for machine room connectivity and one PoE port for connecting machine room phone or pit audio unit with power backup.
IP connectivity over 2-wire Install the 2N® LiftGate in the lift machine room, a 2N® LiftGate Cabin Switch on the roof of the cabin and connect them via 2 wires in the travelling cable.
All in one IOT device You no longer need a separate LTE router, switch, converter and backup power supply. 2N® LiftGate will perform all these functions for you. One certified product that saves you time and money.
Connect machine room and the cabin Connect a lift controller and IP telephone to 2N® LiftGate in the machine room. This meets the requirements of technical standards for shafts of more than 30 m and ensures communication between the machine room and the cabin.
Communication via SIM and WAN port You only need one SIM card to make calls, for data communication with the gateway, the controller or access control system. A backup option can be provided in the form of a WAN port or second SIM.
Relay outputs and inputs Has the mobile network gone down? The 2N® LiftGate switches a relay, informs the controller, which changes the status of the lift to out of service. However, relay outputs and inputs offer many more scenarios.
Up to 4 IP devices in cabin You can connect an IP communicator, a camera, a display for ads or a reader to the 2N® LiftGate Cabin Switch. There’s even a backup 12 V output for emergency lighting.
Cloud Management Connect the IoT gateway to the 2N® Elevator Centre in cloud to manage and monitor it remotely. Naturally, you can control the gateway and get notifications via SMS.
Backup power supply Ensure emergency communication in the lift even during power cuts. The 2N® LiftGate solution includes UPS to power critical communication equipment and emergency lighting.

LiftGate: Cabin Switch
The Cabin Switch is connected using any 2 wires in the trailing cables/flexes to the LiftGate gateway in machine room or top of shaft. The Cabin Switch delivers up to 100 Mb/s network connectivity to the lift cabin. The Cabin Switch has four Ethernet ports to connect IP devices in the lift cabin, two of the four ports are power backed-up PoE which are typically used for the phone and video camera, if installed. Compatible cameras should be IP-PoE, H.264, Main/Base Profile, VGA (640 x 480). Although one LiftGate can support two lifts, one Cabin Switch is required on each lift for connecting in-cab devices.
