Smart DGT Privacy Policy – in Accordance With GDPR

Smart DGT Ltd  has adopted the following privacy policy as a personal data controller for the personal data of customers/suppliers. This privacy policy provides information about the collection, processing, storage and sharing of personal data regarding individual identifiable customers/suppliers. This includes current, past and future customers/suppliers. Special handling templates and guidelines may also occur. In addition to this privacy policy, national laws and regulations in countries where Smart DGT operates may require that the processing of customers/suppliers’ personal data be done in a way other than those specified herein. In such cases, entities are expected to act in accordance with the rules that apply to their activities in addition to this privacy policy. Compulsory laws and regulations in places where Smart DGT operates, must always be followed and prevail in conflict or deviation from this privacy policy.

1. Personal information about customers/suppliers treated by Smart DGT

Smart DGT may treat the following personal information about our customers and suppliers. Personal data can be collected at the beginning of customer/supplier cooperation and on-going during customer/supplier cooperation. This applies to basic personal data: name, work phone number, workplace address, e-mail address to work, organization number, bank and account information to the company, and equivalent other basic data.

2. Purpose for the processing of customer/supplier’s personal data Smart DGT may collect and process customer/supplier personal data for, e.g. but not exclusively the following purposes (the list intends to provide a picture of Smart DGT’s need to treat customers/suppliers’ personal data):

• Administration and management of customers/suppliers, maintenance of customer/supplier registry

• Internal management, planning, sales, inventory, project employment, resource allocation, need and access to different resources

• Provide employees with access to corporate information systems and other resources, support efficient use of internal information channels such as email and other Internet or telephone based services, ensuring that business critical information are secure and protected

• Financial planning, reporting, budget preparation and analysis

3. The legal basis for the handling of personal information

The legal basis for processing personal data is the fulfillment of the customer/supplier agreement. The legal basis is also that Smart DGT is obliged to process personal data in a certain way, e.g. by law or by other provisions, such as in relation to accounting firms. The legal basis may also be that the company is entitled to carry out the handling after a balance of interest. In addition, Smart DGT may treat personal data with the support of customers/suppliers’ special consent. If handling is required to fulfill an agreement or a legal obligation, customers/suppliers cannot oppose the handling. If the handling occurs after a balance of interest, an objection to the handling will be considered individually.

4. How are cookies used and how are they analyzed?

We use cookies to evaluate visitor statistics and improve navigation and content; for example to save customer-specific information for logged in customers. Smart DGT uses the Google Analytics web analytics tool to understand and interpret user behavior and strive to improve user experience of the site.

6. Storage and sorting out of personal data

Smart DGT will process and store personal data for as long as necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data was collected. Certain personal data will be deleted in conjunction with the termination of the collaboration. Other personal data will be stored for a long time as there is a legal obligation for Smart DGT to retain personal information or that Smart DGT needs the information to exercise its rights. As soon as the ability to target Smart DGT expires (limitation), the data will be deleted.

7. Customers/suppliers’ rights

Our customers/suppliers have the right to access their personal data, to require correction of personal data, to oppose the processing of personal data, to require that the processing of personal data is restricted or require the deletion of their personal data processed by Smart DGT in accordance with the rights arising from the data protection legislation. These rights may be restricted by other provisions of data protection legislation or if such a claim would be inappropriate in a specific case. You as a customer/supplier are entitled to withdraw consent given for certain processing of personal data. Issues/questions regarding the handling of personal data can be sent to sales@SmartDGT.com.

Smart DGT may make changes to this Privacy Policy. The top of this document specifies when changes to the privacy statement were last made. If more intervening changes occur, customers/suppliers will be informed in particular.
