The end of BT landlines in the UK is approaching and, as 3G networks are now mainly obsolete and the shutdown of 2G networks will follow in the coming years, it's critical to now utilise 4G gateways for lift communications. Just connect any analogue (2-wire) lift phone to the gateway and insert a SIM card to get 4G voice communication via the mobile network of your choice. No reprogramming of lift phone is required, it's a plug&play replacement for phone line. The EasyGateIP gateway also uniquely supports VoIP (SIP) technology, which is the only technology to guarantee reliable transmission of a DTMF signal if that's used in your call center.

4G SUPPORT
The gateway supports 4G networks with voice transmission over VoLTE by default and optional VoIP is also integrated.
RELIABLE TRANSMISSION OF DTMF
Unfortunately DTMF transmissions (when used) from lift phones to call centers frequently suffer distortion or some percentage loss (<20%) when going over mobile communication whether 2G, 3G or 4G VoLTE. Only VoIP technology using a SIP protocol guarantees reliable transmission of DTMF, which is essential for identification of the lift. Register the EasyGateIP on your Call Centre PBX or use your Call Centre’s VOIP (telecoms) service provider for that.
